Fairview Public Library accepts book donations of no more than 20 books at a time due to space limitations. Books donated to the library may be accepted into the collection but will more likely become part of the book sales that help to fund our library. Donations may be dropped off at the library during open hours. For more information, please call the library at 845-586-3791.

We appreciate donations of:

• Current hardcover and paperback books in good condition
• Children’s books
• Large Print Materials

We cannot accept:

• We cannot accept damaged books (e.g., broken bindings, missing pages, soiled, musty or moldy, excessive writing in the text) or clearly outdated materials.
• Please do not donate books that have been stored for a long time in an attic or basement because they often become musty or smelly, and do not sell.
• Clearly outdated materials, especially computer books and computer programs
• Encyclopedias, textbooks, or reference books
• CDs or VHS Tapes
• Workbooks or study guides
